We believe that the strategies and sportsmanship inherent in chess strengthen cognitive and personal skills development, and that volunteering encourages a sense of community and an understanding of others.
Mission Statement
Girl Chess Power and Beyond is dedicated to empowering girls and encouraging them to build confidence and independence through chess, volunteering, and gaining new knowledge. These experiences strengthen their critical thinking skills, foster generosity, and support them in achieving their own goals.
Vision Statement
We envision girls in Fort Bend County, the Greater Houston area, and beyond becoming happier, more well-rounded, and better prepared for the future.
